La agenda energética antiamericana de Biden

It is inexplicable that the Biden administration continues to look for the solution to the increase in domestic gas prices outside of this country, in Saudi Arabia, Iran or Venezuela, when the answer is right here in the United States. Yet since his first day in office, Biden has done nothing but push an anti-American energy agenda, aimed at crushing our energy independence. The Biden administration stopped leases to explore on federal lands, made it more expensive to produce oil and gas on these lands, and proposed trillions in new taxes on the nation’s fossil fuel industry.

As a result of those policies, average gasoline prices in the US have risen more than $2.20 since January 2021 and are now about twice as expensive as when Biden took office. The administration, evidently out of touch with people in this country, thinks it’s okay for prices to go up, because they defend Biden’s solution to high gas prices, which is to tell American families to buy an expensive electric vehicle. (EV), which many simply cannot afford. According to Kelly Blue Book, the average cost of a new electric vehicle is nearly $67,000.

The electric vehicle tax credit primarily benefits Democratic-ruled California, as about half of all electric vehicles in the United States are sold in that state. Under Biden’s EV credit, some affordable options don’t qualify, leaving thousands of Americans severely limited. General Motors, for example, has announced plans to make electric vehicles more affordable, yet Americans who rely on this alternative are out of luck, as GM vehicles don’t qualify for the federal credit. Similarly, Toyota has reached its tax credit limit for electric vehicles.

Oil prices topped $100 a barrel beginning this week, after President Joe Biden ended his visit to Saudi Arabia, without getting the Saudi kingdom to commit to producing more crude. In other words, it is very likely that the cost of gasoline will not only not go down but could continue to rise throughout this summer.

The average price of gasoline across the country never exceeded $3 per gallon during President Trump’s 4-year tenure. According to data from the Congressional Joint Economic Committee, rising energy costs and Biden’s war on American energy have already cost families $1,500. The increase in the price of gasoline is having a devastating effect on the finances of American families, already seriously affected by the disastrous Bidenflation, which has triggered the prices of everyday products, as a result of the irresponsible policies of the administration Biden and the Democrats in Congress, and their failed $1.9 trillion economic “stimulus” package.

Americans in all 50 states are paying average prices above $4 a gallon, and under Biden, all 50 states have hit new record highs in gas prices. Rising gas prices could cost American households an extra $2,200 this year, and 67 percent of Americans say higher gas prices are causing them “financial hardship.” Yet last month, the Biden administration exported more than five million barrels of oil, from US emergency reserves, to China and Europe.
