Aged 27, Ethereum Co-Creator Becomes World’s Youngest Crypto-Billionaire

The co-creator of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, has became the world’s youngest crypto-billionaire at the age of 27, after the currency surpassed $3,000 on Monday. This marks a staggering 325% increase since the beginning of 2021.

According to Etherescan, Buterin’s public Ethereum address now holds 333,520 ETH with a total value of $1.05 billion. Ethereum recorded an all-time high and had a jump of more than 10% in the last 24 hours.

Similarly, the world’s second most valuable cryptocurrency crossed the market capitalization of 350 billion and became more valuable than Bank of America. Ethereum is an open source decentralized blockchain with smart contract functionality.

Likewise, Ether is the platform’s native cryptocurrency. It is also the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, after Bitcoin.

Vitalik Buterin is a Russian-Canadian programmer and writer who is best known as one of the co-founders of Ethereum. Buterin was involved with the cryptocurrency since its inception. He co-founded Bitcoin Magazine in 2011 and then, in 2014, launched Ethereum.
