2020: A Bonanza Year for Socialism

Año

2020 was a year where Socialism, in all its variants, made enormous inroads into the circles of power in America. This occurred in different fronts and not necessarily synchronized. They all did have, however, the same common enemy.

This made the target, those stalwart centerpieces of resistance to Marxism’s “long march through the institutions” of American democracy, unison. The result of this onslaught remains to be seen. The elevation of social consciousness in response to the perils presented by these systemic challenges by a great part of American society, is most encouraging. Moments of crisis, quite often in historical experience, bring out the best in people. 2020 and the crisis to the Republic is such an opportunity.

The year began with the Communist China Virus and its global invasion. There remains no serious doubt that this evil scrooge came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The question of whether it left the walls of that institution, by neglect or by design, is a mute inquiry at this point. The fact that this virus mysteriously transmuted itself from an epidemic to a pandemic phase, without scathing any of China’s relevant provinces yet managed to spread to Europe and the Western Hemisphere, does have the imprint of Chinese Communism’s asymmetric war against the West written all over it. It read: MADE IN CHINA.

China,
“The socialist offensive has seeped into all levels of American cultural and political life since the May BLM and Antifa riots”.

Why would Red China do this? For many reasons, foremost in seeking a feasible answer brings us to the depth of what precisely an asymmetric war looks like. Understanding the nature of unconventional warfare sheds light on all this. Issues of its timing or the precise strategic rationalization behind what occurred is still within the strict confines of the Communist Party of China’s Politburo and State Council.

The damage that it caused, however, has been without parallel. In addition to the civilian death toll, the crushing stoppage of the American and world economies was a feat not even the USSR was able to accomplish. The Communist China Virus with the sterile reaction by the complicit World Health Organization, selected circles of scientific centers and people, and a large segment of democratic government leaders augmented the ills and vicious side effects of the virus.

In the case of the United States, once past the initial phase of the forced shutdowns to facilitate space within medical facilities around the country and the novice intent to “flatten the curve”, governors from Democratic states appropriated power that transgressed their constitutional capacity, in many instances, and suppressed basic civil liberties. Suddenly, America’s response to the Communist China Virus was an unseen authoritarianism even during the World Wars.

Religious freedom was especially and consistently pommeled. Given the fact that the biggest overseers of this authoritarian splurge were leftist governors and mayors, many Americans started to astutely believe that this has been some dress rehearsal for socialism’s power grab. The overwhelming conflicting scientific information that continuously pours out, before its censored by the establishment media and big tech, lends support to the popular questioning which casts monumental doubts on the potentially underlying ulterior motives behind these controversial lockdowns.

If this were not enough to mark a year as being a rarity, a Communist offensive has swept the United States since May, as a result of the unnecessary death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man with a criminal background during an arrest. Between May 26th and September 12th, there were 637 riots across America, according to a study by the U.S. Crisis Monitor. The principal instigators of these subversive acts have been two Communist organizations: Black Lives Matter (“BLM”) and Antifa.

Obviously, they have not been isolated participants. The same mentioned report, credits BLM with 91% of these dastardly deeds. More ravaging to the American Republic than these hefty acts of domestic terrorism, despite their horrific cost in property damage, business extermination and human life, has been the Marxist immersion into the business, educational and cultural spheres of American life.

When Patrisse Khan-Cullors explained during a now well-known interview of 2015 that Alicia Garza, Opal Tometi and her, all BLM founders, were “trained Marxists”, that did not tell the full story. The methodological difference for acquiring power in an established democracy between classical Marxist practitioners and those who are understood as cultural Marxists, is expansively different.

The disciples of Antonio Gramsci, Theodor Adorno, Walter Benjamin, Erich Fromm, Max Horkheimer and Herbert Marcuse (the latter five part of the Frankfurt School) have a much higher success rate at acquiring factorable influence within democratic institutions. This is seminal if consciousness is to take off to the level Marxism warrants to cajole society into “democratically” placing Communist at the helm of political power.

BLM does not just embrace Critical Race Theory, a branch of the Frankfurt School’s Critical Theory (“CT”) emporium, but also espouses Critical Queer Theory and Gender Ideology, two other CT fields. Considering that these types of grievance fields of studies have been a mainstay at the college and university level since the late 1980’s, an entire class of graduates turned business leaders, media pundits, educators, and politicians has been propelled. This explains the enormous funding BLM has received and the broad support they have received from major corporations.

As of June 2020, the 100 largest U.S. companies had committed over $1.63 billion for “race” groups, BLM among them. Professional sports enterprises like the NBA, NFL and MLB have effectively become mouthpieces for the Marxist organization. Sponsoring attire business entities such as Nike, will ignore crimes against humanity calamities like utilizing slave labor in China, but comfortably appease BLM and their Communist diatribe.

The socialist offensive has seeped into all levels of American cultural and political life since the May BLM and Antifa riots. In the midst of this most pressing challenge to constitutional republican rule, has been the 2020 presidential election.

This electoral process, plagued with widespread voting irregularities and anomalies, is technically and constitutionally still in dispute until January 6, 2021, the day Congress counts and validates the states electoral votes. Considering the primacy that the Constitution bestows upon the state legislators, the process of electoral vote choosing, whatever the outcome, assures that serious doubts from competing partisan angles will raise issues of legitimacy.

A constitutional republic that exercises the democratic political model of popular sovereignty, like the United States, requires both, an engaged and a virtuous citizenry. The spontaneous social movement underway which is demonstrating it willingness to confront and reverse socialism’s gains is palpable. This may be one of the many blessings of 2020. A great portion of the American populace is taking notice and getting involved. 2021 may reap the benefits of this.

Apathy to the political process may become something of the past. Happy New Year!
