As of March 2022, more than 255,000 Venezuelan migrants have applied for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) in the United States. This was stated by Brian Fincheltub, director of Venezuelan consular affairs for the U.S. Embassy.
“The TPS approval period has been extended until March 10, 2024, there is a period of 60 days for people who have received the TPS to re-register, and for those who have not received it, they will receive it automatically with a date of 2024”, Fincheltub reminded VPItv.

In addition, Fincheltub recommended Venezuelans to make the re-registration process online, since, he considered, “it is easier and safer.”
“There is no need to pay the template again, the only feed they have to pay is $85 for the biometric data,” he stated.
On the uncertainty about the waiting time, Fincheltub encouraged people who have not received confirmation of TPS or their work permit to wait.
“This will come to them with the new date of March 2024,” he clarified.
Fincheltub added that since January 2021 to date, more than 155,000 Venezuelan migrants have entered the United States.

"Es recomendable hacer el re-registro del TPS de manera on-line. El único feed que tienen que pagar son 85 dólares de los biométricos, sin necesidad de pagar nuevamente la plantilla", dijo @BrianFincheltub. #13Sep #EEUU
