More than 42,000 immigrants entered the United States evading authorities and Border Patrol, in April alone.

42,620 illegal aliens escaped arrest and entered U.S. territory, according to data obtained by Jaeson Jones, former Captain with the Texas Department of Public Safety. That’s nearly 1,400 migrants per day.

Jones told The Epoch Times that border agents are stretched thin and that the shocking figure reveals the “level of infiltration” of undetected aliens.

“What gotaway numbers really signify is the level of infiltration coming into the country that’s getting past CBP at the border,” he said.

The number may be much higher because the estimates come from agents sending information about people they see walking away or after discovering clues or debris they left in their wake, The Epoch Times reported.

177,000 immigrants entered and were detained in the U.S.

According to Jones, more than 177,000 migrants were detained by the Border Patrol during April while crossing into U.S. territory.

Representative Henry Cuellar (D-TX) revealed that until the end of April, the Biden-Harris administration accelerated the release of more than 15,300 migrants without formal immigration notices.

According to Cuellar, the released migrants only receive the “385” form or booking report that generally says they must report to the nearest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement station within a certain number of days.

“It’s just a honor system that they are given and this is not the way it’s supposed to be,” he said.

David Grantham, a national security and counterterrorism expert on border crises told El American that what is happening with migrants at the southern border is an “unprecedented” situation.

“We’ve heard that people are being released because agents are overwhelmed. It’s not a political decision, as far as we know, but a logistical decision. As more people arrive at the border, agents are forced to perform other tasks. As a result, some people are released or simply pass through because there are not enough agents,” Grantham said.

At least five Texas counties have declared a “local disaster” over the border crisis while neither President Joe Biden nor Vice President Kamala Harris has visited the border.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has expressed his concern about the border crisis, especially the increased drug and human trafficking activities in the area.

On April 29, Abbott announced Operation Lone Star with the deployment of troops and National Guardsmen to “secure the border.”

Biden’s first 100 days have been successful for cartels, drug smugglers, & human traffickers who are profiteering off of all the migrants who cross the border illegally.

“But it also signifies something else and that is that more drugs are also flowing into the country. If you can’t catch the people, you can’t catch the dope either,” former Capt. Jones told ET.
