Pollster Rasmussen Reports conducted a recent survey in which Americans evaluated how they saw Joe Biden as commander-in-chief.

The poll shows that 43% of Americans believe the president is a weaker commander-in-chief than most recent presidents (including Donald Trump and Barack Obama). However, 32% of respondents think that, compared to recent presidents, Joe Biden is a stronger commander-in-chief.

Only 18% of Americans believe he is as strong as other recent presidents.

The Rasmussen Reports poll also showed that Democrats are more likely than Republicans to view the president as a stronger commander-in-chief. Only 12% of Republicans consider the current president a strong commander in chief. Of independents, 44% agree with Democrats that Biden is a stronger commander-in-chief than other recent American presidents.

Respondents were also asked what their perception of Biden was relative to other presidents. Fifty-four percent consider Joe Biden to be a less aggressive president than the rest. Thirty points lower, 24% believe Biden is a more aggressive president and 16% believe he is “about the same.”

Differences in perception are also apparent among respondents who identify as Republicans, those who identify as Democrats and independents.

78% of Republican respondents said Biden is a less aggressive president. 54% of independents and 34% of Democrats agreed.

During the recent Israeli-Palestinian conflict, where the terrorist group Hamas launched nearly 4,000 rockets at different points in Israel (including civilian areas), the Biden administration responded strongly only after the situation had already escalated. While Biden ended up supporting the Israeli Government and its Armed Forces, on the other hand, he announced the restoration of multi-billion dollar funding to Palestine.

In addition, the American military has been embroiled in a series of international ridicule from major powers such as Russia and China, following a series of actions and military propaganda pieces that have called into question the status of the American military.
