EL AMERICAN was born to be the leading voice of one of the most important and influential communities in the United States: The Hispanic one. To achieve this ambitious goal, it has been building a team with the best Hispanic talents from around the country and the world. The Editorial Board is pleased to announce the addition of Alfonso Aguilar, former Chief of the U.S. Citizenship Office during the Bush administration, as Senior VP and Political Director.
Aguilar is also the president of the Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles and is frequently quoted and interviewed in newspapers such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Washington Post, Politico, and HuffPost. He is also a recurring guest on national radio and TV programs on CNN, MSNBC, FOX News, Univision, Telemundo and CNN en Español.
Celebrating his new role with El American, Aguilar said: “It is a true honor to join El American team. It is a media outlet that I have long admired because of the extraordinary quality of its content and because it has been able to effectively penetrate the Hispanic market. Today, it is already the leading conservative news platform in Spanish, but it has enormous growth potential. So, I am very excited to be able to help El American consolidate its position as a key bridge between the conservative movement and the Hispanic community.”
The United States is immersed in a turning point in its modern history, undergoing important economic, social, and political changes. One of these changes that the country is facing is precisely the leading role that the Hispanic community has been playing at the electoral, economic and moral levels; becoming the demographic group that will tip the balance in the next mid-term elections and that will largely mark the political path of the country in the next decade.
Alfonso Aguilar is now part of the team with whom El American is moving forward to become the voice of the Hispanic community at a national level. Our new Senior VP is a fundamental ally and a key liaison with the most important political hotspot in the United States: Washington D.C., where our new political director has a prestigious career and background.
Welcome to El American, Alfonso!
