A new poll indicated that the vast majority of American voters reject permanent gender transition treatments for minors, which Joe Biden and his administration have publicly promoted.

The poll, conducted by Summit.org and McLaughlin and Associates, found that 90% of American voters oppose gender alteration procedures for children and 72% say they are against teaching gender ideology in schools.

Jeff Myers, president of Summit.org, said that the media and education are “bombarding us daily” with “relentless” messages in support of gender alteration, but that Americans reject them and consider it an issue that “belongs anywhere near our kids.”

“Yet,” Myers cautioned, “we also see a powerful chilling effect that this propaganda is having on society, as this research shows that tens and tens of millions disagree with what they see, but are afraid to say anything about their views. We trust this poll will spark all-important conversations so we can properly address these issues as a nation.”

How do Americans feel about gender alteration?

Other survey data indicate, for example, that 64% of respondents who have an opinion on the issue do not believe transgenderism is a healthy condition, compared to 36% who believe the opposite.

In addition, 34% of respondents say they prefer to remain silent so as “not to offend others,” compared to 30% who choose to express their opinion regardless of what others think.

President Joe Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently recommended “gender-affirming care” for children and teenagers. This includes irreversible treatments such as hormone use and surgeries.

HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra told the Senate earlier this month that children should be able to decide whether or not to undergo sex-change surgeries.
