‘Angel Mom’ Stopped by Cops from Rushing Into Uvalde Elementary School Reveals Warning She Received from Police

The “Angel Mom’ who bravely stormed towards Robb Elementary School during the heinous mass shooting at Uvalde, Texas only to be tackled by ‘coward cops’ revealed the chilling threat she received from police following the incident.

“A mom who was handcuffed by cops for trying to save her children during the Texas school shooting has blasted police for threatening her for talking to the media,” the Daily Mail reported on Saturday. “Angeli Rose Gomez slammed officers for warning her with a probation violation for obstruction of justice over her interviews with journalists.”

“She said she was called by an officer who said she would be hit with legal trouble over a charge against her from over a decade ago,” the report added. “But she insisted she would not be cowed and would continue sharing her story after the judge ruling over her previous case said she would be fine.”

Parents of Robb Elementary School students were arrested for trying to enter the school to save the 19 children killed during the mass shooting. At least one parent was reportedly tased trying to stage a daring rescue.

Angeli Rose Gomez, the mother of a second-grader and third-grader at Robb Elementary, told The Wall Street Journal that the police were “just standing outside the fence” during the active shooter situation.

“They weren’t going in there or running anywhere,” she said.

“After a few minutes, she said, U.S. Marshals put her in handcuffs, telling her she was being arrested for actively intervening in an active investigation,” the Journal reported.

Gomez told the Journal she saw police tackle a father and take him to the ground, while another parent was pepper-sprayed. She said that she saw police use a stun gun on a father to keep him from advancing on the school.

“They didn’t do that to the shooter, but they did that to us. That’s how it felt,” she said.

In her interview with CBS, Gomez lashed out at the cops who failed to do their jobs at Uvalde.

“Nothing was being done,” she said. “If anything, they were being more aggressive against us parents who were willing to go in.”

“I told one of the officers, I don’t need you to protect me,” she added. “Get away from me. I don’t need your protection. If anything, I need you to go in there with me and protect my kids.”

Angeli Rose Gomez wasn’t the only distraught parent willing to take desperate action to protect their children. Javier Cazares told Fox News that he was furious at the police’s unwillingness to act.

“Upset that police were not moving in, he raised the idea of charging into the school with several other bystanders,” Fox News reported. His fourth-grade daughter Jacklyn Cazares was killed in the attack.

A lieutenant with the Texas Department of Public Safety later confessed in CNN interview that the police officers refused to intervene sooner because “they could’ve been shot.”

The timeline of events shows that the Uvalde shooter was inside the school for nearly 80 minutes before law enforcement stopped his attack.

The Department of Justice is now investigating what happened at Robb Elementary School. The Attorney General should also look into why Uvalde police officers reportedly threatened to abridge a distraught parent’s free speech rights.
