Massachusetts’ exclusive island of Nantucket is preparing to receive a new planeload of illegal migrants, just as the island of Martha’s Vineyard did last month.
A New York Post report revealed that workers at the Nantucket airport alerted the police about a possible arrival of a new flight with “many similarities” to the one that landed on Martha’s Vineyard with dozens of illegal migrants.
“In the event there is an arrival of a plane carrying migrants, the Nantucket Police Department and many other Town departments have a detailed plan to manage such a situation,” the Nantucket Police Department said.
The charter airline said the plane expected Tuesday is a business flight for a group from Chicago; however, it is the same company that flew approximately 50 migrants to Martha’s Vineyard.
Last month FL Gov. Ron DeSantis sent a group of immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard as an action to protest how the Democratic Party has ignored the border crisis and how they have favored Joe Biden’s open border policies.
At the time, the local tourism board called the situation a “humanitarian crisis,” claiming that the arrival of 50 migrants overwhelmed the island’s population, which ranges from 200,000 in the summer to 17,000 in the winter.
President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden spent Thanksgiving there last year at the home of a private equity billionaire.
