Forbes Crowns Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and Bernard Arnault as World’s Richest Men

The financial magazine Forbes published this Tuesday its list of the richest people in the world. The founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, leads -for the fourth consecutive year- the list. He is followed by Tesla founder Elon Musk and the CEO of Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, Bernard Arnault.

In addition, the magazine highlights the work of these people in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. It also detailed that, of the businesspeople who repeat in the list, 86% are richer than a year ago.

Similarly, Forbes highlights that not only the health crisis marked the world but also a record in the financial market. “It’s been a year like no other and we’re not talking about the pandemic. There were rapid public offerings, soaring cryptocurrencies and stock prices that skyrocketed.”

The U.S. has the richest.

Bezos landed the top spot with a fortune valued at $177 billion, while Elon Musk soared to the number two spot with $151 billion, as Tesla and Amazon shares rose.

“These billionaires in total are worth $13.1 trillion, up from $8 trillion in 2020″, Forbes said.

Regarding women, Alice Walton is ranked 17th. Forbes presents her as the only daughter of Sam Walton, the founder of Walmart. Alice is currently dedicated to the art world. While in 22nd place is MacKenzie Scott, writer and ex-wife of Jeff Bezos.
