Upon learning that the Biden-Harris administration would remove the FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) from its list of foreign terrorist organizations, Twitter users recalled the warning that Donald Trump had made about the change that U.S. foreign policy would have with Joe Biden as president.
“Biden is weak on socialism and will betray Colombia,” the former president had said in a tweet in which he referred to the then-Democratic candidate.
GOP strategist Giancarlo Sopo recalled Donald Trump’s comment and quickly, other users began to replicate the tweet.
The information about the change in Biden’s foreign policy with respect to Colombia was made public by The Wall Street Journal. The media detailed that the decision could be made next Tuesday, on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the peace agreement signed in Cuba during the Obama administration.
