Biden Hints Stepping Down in Case of “Fundamental Disagreement” With Kamala

Bide, Kamala Harris, Renunciar

In an apparent innocent question asked in an interview with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris about how they would resolve their differences in government, Biden replied: “Like I told Barack, if I reach something where there’s a fundamental disagreement we have based on a moral principle, I’ll develop some disease and say I have to resign.”

Although he naturally said it as a joke, this joke actually reveals a sad truth. Biden is too old and Kamala is looking stronger, and more powerful.

Just look at the appointment of Biden’s cabinet, which was subjected to Harris’ scrutiny, full of concessions made by a guy, once upon a time moderate, in order to have chance at winning the presidency.

Words are important, and more in the context prior to assuming the most important position in the world: the presidency of the United States. Behind an innocent joke there is a serious question, which hundreds of political vultures are trying to figure out: who to praise? Biden or Kamala?

Biden is not a radical or extremist type, just a man too weak to be able to promote his own ideas, so he had to take refuge in those of the progressives. Obama and Clinton’s best intentions were not enough, he also had to make commitments to those who oppose the fundamental principles of economic freedom that made the U.S. great, those “democratic” socialists.

Surely fighting climate change, social injustice and gender disparities are laudable causes, what is not laudable is creating a discourse attacking the productive sector of the United States, blaming it for injustices traditionally caused by the government in which the Democrats themselves have been complicit.

How many concessions were made by Biden to aspire to win the elections? How many useless and expensive programs but with a nice and righteous names will he approve? (EFE)

This is what is worth asking then: If Black Lives Matter takes to the streets again rioting and robbing small businesses, will Biden do nothing if Kamala asks him not to? If Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal turns out to be extremely expensive to the American pocketbook, will Biden do nothing, by order of his vice president?

And that is exactly what we are concerned about, that Biden does nothing without the authorization of his vice president. Although naturally President and Vice President must be a duo, the President is never expected to ask the Vice President for authorization to make a decision, or even for the Vice President to be aware of everything the President is doing.

A president must be a person with political and intellectual independence, someone who is not afraid to govern regardless of the unpopularity of decisions. Biden’s innocent joke is perhaps the announcement of a government by a man subjected to progressive ideology, without even being convinced of what he is supposed to support.

How many concessions will he make to aspire to win the next elections? How many useless and expensive programs, but with a nice and righteous name will he approve? How many speeches of resentment and victimizers will he condone and even give himself? All to please his vice president, who is convinced that without her wave of furious millennials Biden could have never even aspired to beat Trump.

If Sleepy Joe doesn’t wake up, the U.S. will have as a president a weak man who needs authorization to make decisions. If Biden is not able to stop his subordinates, much less will he be able to face Russia, China, Iran, Venezuela, North Korea, Isis, Boko Haram, and the whole gang of deranged people who always take advantage, when at the helm of the most powerful nation in the world, there is an unequivocally weak man in command.
