Biden Says Government Can ‘Control the Weather’ If Americans Spend Trillions More to Fight Climate Change

President Biden recently made a boast at the appropriately named Lost Creek in flood-ravaged Kentucky that with trillions more in federal spending the government might someday control the weather. No, seriously.

“I walked across the road to see another family,” Biden said. “One family, a gentleman, his trailer is all the way up at the other end of the property, gone. And you know what? When I started talking about what we could do, he said, ‘Well, you know, we Kentuckians don’t want to ask too much.’ Get this, ‘We don’t want to ask for too much. We’re used to having neighbors help us out. We don’t know that y’all, everybody else should be doing this.’ I said, ‘You’re kidding me.’ Seriously, this is what he’s talking about.”

“And he pointed out that — here’s the deal,” he added. “It is true that the people here in this community and the folks I met in the tornado, they’re not just Kentuckians, they’re Americans. They’re Americans. This happened in America, American problem. And we’re all Americans. Everybody has an obligation to help. We have the capacity to do this. It’s not like it’s beyond our control. The weather may be beyond our control for now, but it’s not beyond our control.”

On Thursday, President Biden’s Twitter account boasted that the recently passed Senate package for the “Inflation Reduction Act” was all about… climate change.

“I ran for President with a promise to combat the existential threat of climate change,” Biden’s account said. :Yesterday, the Senate took a historic step by passing my proposal to build a clean energy future. It will create jobs for American workers and secure the future of our kids and grandkids.”

The Inflation Reduction Act is similar to a repackaged ‘Green New Deal’ — except without the truth in advertising.

The IRA includes in the bill: $369 billion in energy and climate efforts,’ over $300 billion in ‘green loan guarantees,’ $80 billion to increase the number of IRS agents by 87,000 to conduct audits, and $60 billion for ‘environmental justice’ initiatives.

So, it wasn’t about “inflation reduction.” Hundreds of billions more in government spending will only fuel inflation — even if it is subsidizing the costs for the Democratic Party’s wealthy allies to ‘go green.’

The Democrats lied to the American people and stealth-passed a bastardized version of the ‘Green New Deal.’ This has to be one of the greatest bait-and-switches in the history of the U.S.’s purported ‘representative republic.’
