We were not hysterical or exaggerated when we described Joe Biden a Trojan Horse of the American radical left. His presidency is barely a week old, and we are already seeing it: the Democratic president comes with a clear and alarming agenda: ideologized, complacent with the radicals, the leftists. A radical government, for radicals.
Biden presented himself as a Democrat. Based on his experience, he was supposedly the salvation between the two extremes. The center, which so many said was needed. A moderate, although he was the vice-president of the least moderate president of the last decades. Yet the mainstream media won’t discuss that as no one is as charismatic as Obama.
His first steps are the prelude to an administration eager to pander to the left. This is particularly concerning as it means Biden has already lied to America. He does not govern for everyone. He is not the president of all. He governs, against working people, minorities, and Republicans, while in service to the woke, arrogant, socialist elite.
Hours after taking the Oval Office, he signed more executive orders than any president in U.S. history. This is intended to undo Trump’s legacy and in the end, that’s how Biden got to the White House: by not being Donald Trump. But he did more. He went much further and took advantage of the euphoria of the media, ecstatic with a black and female vice-president, destroying thousands of jobs, undermining women’s sports, and predicated his whole administration on the idiocy of identity politics.
In the name of his signature cause of climate change, Joe Biden has killed, with the stroke of a pen, 10,000 jobs. By blocking the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, the president slapped the Canadian government, the Alberta government, TC Energy, and its millions of dollars invested since 2010, which was already in its final phase. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau must miss his archenemy, who gave the green light to the construction of the mega project that relieved the import of Canadian crude oil to the United States. Approximately 10,000 jobs will be lost, between Canada and its neighbors.
And this will solve nothing. The planet is celebrating this decision. The oil will continue to flow between Canada and the United States. Meanwhile, other energy alternatives remain far more complex, unproductive, and, of course, harmful to the environment. Ultimately, only capitalism offers solutions to address climate change. Biden strikes again, stifling entrepreneurship, development and competition.
The executive order to “prevent and combat discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation” is nonsense. It has succeeded in killing girls’ sports. So said Olympic coach Linda Blade to the Wall Street Journal‘s Abigail Shrier when the reporter asked her about the decision ordering all federally funded schools – virtually every public school in the country – to allow “biological boys who identify as girls” to participate on girls’ sports teams.
“The leadership skills, all the benefits to society of allowing girls to have their category protected so that competition is fair, all the advancement of women’s rights … That will be diminished,” Blade lamented. “Finished. Done.”
Biden’s first-week record is genuinely distressing. Like a steamroller, he has destroyed core elements of American society. Here’s another: after promising again and again that he will not ban fracking – “I will not ban it. Let me say it again: I won’t do it, no matter how many times Trump lies about it,” the president said last August on the campaign trail – Biden’s Interior Department blocked new drilling on public lands.
“The Biden administration’s message to American workers: if you work in the energy industry, find another job,” Sen. Ted Cruz said of it. And there, with the stroke of a pen, dissapear thousands more jobs.
So what is the response of administration officials? Irresponsible and cruel. “These are jobs that could be sacrificed,” Biden’s nominee for Energy Secretary, Jennifer Granholm, said at her hearing.
It wasn’t enough to end girls’ sports. Joe Biden turns his back on all students and sides with the unions, who want to keep kids out of school or otherwise go on strike. The White House panders to them, of course, and leaves thousands of public school children in Chicago or New Jersey without a chance to go to school. “Schools were set to reopen. Then the Teachers Unions stepped in,” reads the New York Times.
It is barely seven days since Joe Biden was sworn in and the reality is alarming. Among his other executive orders include blocking of the construction of the border wall, the lifting of the ban on travel to the United States of nationals from countries hostile to the West, the return to the Paris Climate Accord, totally unfair to the United States; the return to the World Health Organization, taken over by China and completely responsible for the pandemic; and the prevention of evictions of debtor tenants.
The reality is alarming and the future is also grim. Joe Biden has proposed raising the national minimum wage to $15 an hour. A report in the Washington Examiner, picked up by Sean Hannity, suggests that, if the proposal goes through, Biden would “kill 3.7 million jobs”.
His campaign sought to portray him as a moderate. As the alternative to radicals on both sides. He himself embraced this portrayal. Sadly, this was a lie. The record of his first week only deepens the divisions and tensions between political factions. He has not governed as a moderate, but as a radical, in the same class as the worst of his party. It is the administration of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Bernie Sanders, and all those who aspire to subjugate America to a socialist agenda. These are radical measures from a radical administration.
