Biden's Lousy Foreign Policy Leaves the U.S. at the Mercy of its Enemies

The Afghanistan crisis seems like a long time ago, but less than a year ago the Biden Administration decided to withdraw troops from Afghan territory without taking any precautions, handing over to the Taliban terrorists not only the control of the nation but also leaving them a huge amount of military equipment with a multi-million dollar value as a gift.

In addition to the catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan, and the lack of containment measures that would have prevented Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Biden has also given in to oppressive regimes in the region. This includes his rapprochement with the tyranny of Nicolás Maduro, with the sending of high-ranking officials to Miraflores to legitimize the dictatorship a mistake that — by the way — is now expanding, and from which the French President, Emmanuel Macron, has seized upon to ask for the incorporation of Venezuela and Iran to the international market.

Western leaders have ended up succumbing to the tyrannies of the world. Now it is no longer the United States that sets the tone of international politics; now it is Russia, Iran, Venezuela, China, who are moving forward, and the United States and its allies who are futilely trying to apply containment measures — not to avoid a catastrophe, but to postpone it as long as possible.

The Iranian regime has announced this week that it will start indirect talks with representatives of the United States to return to the nuclear pact that had been dismissed by former President Trump, despite the fact that in recent weeks tensions have increased over the Iranian nuclear program after the resolution approved by the IAEA Board of Governors against Iran for its lack of transparency.

Tehran responded by shutting down 27 surveillance cameras at different nuclear facilities.

During the Obama years, the rapprochement with the Iranian regime and the lifting of sanctions only helped the Islamic regime to finance its bellicose adventures against its enemies. Biden’s decision to return to talks with Iran not only harms U.S. interests, but also seriously affects the defense of the State of Israel in the Middle East, America’s most important political partner in the region.

Unless Biden’s watchword is “destroy America first,” his management internally and externally has been anything but successful. American citizens are getting poorer by the day and so is America’s influence in the free world.
