The president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, said he has analyzed new studies, so he has determined that he will not get vaccinated against covid, as he considers that he is protected by his immunization levels that “are through the roof.”

“I decided not to take the vaccine anymore. I’m seeing new studies,” Bolsonaro said in statements to Jovem Pan radio station made on Tuesday night and reproduced this Wednesday by other local media.

In the South American country, 70% of Brazilians have already received the first dose of the vaccine and 47% have the complete scheme.

Bolsonaro reiterated that the fact of having been infected by covid ensures that he has enough antibodies against the disease.

However, his wife, Michelle Bolsonaro, did recently receive the vaccine in the United States.

“For me, freedom is above all. If a citizen does not want to get the vaccine, it is his right and that’s it,” Bolsonaro insisted.
