TV personality and former Olympic athlete Caitlyn Jenner on Wednesday canceled a scheduled appearance next week on Piers Morgan’s new show after the British host was accused of “dishonestly” editing a promotional clip of her interview with Donald Trump to make it look confrontational.

After Piers Morgan touted the conversation with Trump as “the most explosive interview of the year” in a clip in which the former president appeared to get up and leave the room, the former president’s communications director, Taylor Budowich, published a Breitbart News article that attempts to set the record straight.

Morgan’s “repulsive misconduct”

Jenner quoted Budowich’s quote in a tweet, said he agreed with him and publicly canceled his appearance on Morgan’s show, scheduled for Wednesday, April 27.

Later, the former president’s son, Donald Trump Jr. also tweeted the Breitbart article and called the editing of the interview trailer “wrong” and “misleading.” Jenner responded to Trump Jr. by saying, “[Morgan] is pathetic. Expose him! Never will do his show again —ever again!”.

When one user wanted to troll Jenner by telling her that she hadn’t actually been invited to Morgan’s show in the same way her family hadn’t invited her to their new show, The Kardashians, the celebrity said the show’s team had paid for her appearance.

“I was not only invited – I was paid to be on his show in the past (multiple times) and was being paid to be on it again, this Wednesday, for 10 minutes,” Jenner responded. “You have no idea what you’re talking about. Piers Morgan has shown how unprofessional he is today.”

The controversial interview will air on Fox Nation and the UK’s TalkTV channel, split into two parts. The first on Monday, April 25, and the second on Tuesday, April 26.
