Caitlyn Jenner, a television star and former Olympic athlete who aspires to be a Republican candidate for governor of California, said Monday that she will cancel the woke culture if she wins the election. Jenner has been criticized for holding conservative views despite being a transgender woman.

Several weeks ago, Jenner was criticized for advocating that trans women should not participate in women’s sports. The athlete explained that the strength of a woman cannot compare or compete with that of a trans woman. Likewise, she argued that it is to protect girls.

“When elected Governor of California, I will CANCEL, cancel culture and wake up the woke.”

The television star confirmed on April 23 her candidacy for governor of California. She made the announcement via Twitter and was echoed by Caroline Wren, who was an advisor to former President Donald Trump and is also expected to run Caitlyn Jenner’s campaign.

“California has been my home for almost 50 years. I came here because I knew that anyone, regardless of their background or station in life, could make their dreams come true,” Jenner said in announcing the nomination.
