Caitlyn Jenner Joins Fox News Team As Political Analyst

Fox News announced that it had hired former athlete Caitlyn Jenner. Executive director Suzanne Scott said Jenner is an inspiration and highlighted the athlete’s career not only in the sports world, but also in the media.

“Caitlyn’s story is an inspiration to us all. She is a trailblazer in the LGBTQ+ community and her illustrious career spans a variety of fields that will be a tremendous asset for our audience,” Scott said in a statement.

Jenner, who was a Republican candidate for California governor in 2021, will do political analysis across Fox News’ various platforms. She will begin her career on the network Thursday night with an appearance on the edition of Hannity.

Upon the announcement, Jenner thanked the company for the opportunity. “I am humbled by this unique opportunity to speak directly to Fox News millions of viewers about a range of issues that are important to the American people,” she wrote on Twitter.

After the news was published, the outlet also shared a photo of Jenner that reads “I’m trans, but not a trans activist.” The tweet was quoted by the athlete who wrote, “I’m a parent, I’m a grandparent, I’m an American. Thank you, Fox News for the platform.”
