‘New Window of Hope’: China Celebrates as Biden Prepares to Take Power

State Councilor and Foreign Minister of the Chinese regime Wang Yi said in an interview with state media this week that relations with the U.S. “have reached a new crossroads” as they prepare for the incoming Biden administration. In the interview granted to the state-run CGTN, owned by the Communist Party, Yi added that “a new window of hope is opening” between the countries.

When asked China will handle the incoming administration, Yi urged Biden to return “to a sensible approach, resume dialogue with China, restore normalcy in bilateral relations and restart cooperation.”

The Chinese official said that the unprecedented difficulties they are experiencing today with the U.S., which under the Trump administration considers China the greatest strategic and national security threat, comes because the Americans have built their policy toward Beijing on “serious misconceptions.” Yi insisted that “such a policy will not find support and is doomed to failure.”

However, the reality differs from the Chinese benignity that Wang Yi describes.

Infiltration of the Chinese Communist Party

As reported in El American, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) infiltrated thousands of its militants into strategic business and political spaces in the West, especially in the U.S. and the U.K.

The director of National Intelligence, John Rattclife said that Beijing has used blackmail, bribery, and covert influence to “attack” members of Congress and ensure that they pass laws in their favor.

The allegations have even been made by senior U.S. government officials. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, said earlier this year that agents and entities of the Chinese regime have infiltrated the United States at the federal and local levels.

However, what is worrying is not only the presence of these communist agents but the counter-intelligence activities they carry out. Among the most serious allegations is the theft of information and intellectual property from American companies. One of the methods used by the Asian nation was to resort to Nicolás Maduro’s tyranny to plagiarize data and technologies of large American companies through the state oil company PDVSA.

The expansionist methods of the Chinese regime, however, can only be accentuated with a Joe Biden in the presidency. According to the Daily Caller, Joe Biden appointed Steve Ricchetti as White House counsel. Ricchetti served as Bill Clinton’s deputy chief of staff and served as that administration’s liaison with Congress to help pass Permanent Normal Trade Relations with China, which led to an unprecedented decline in the numbers of American manufacturing workers.

Taiwan under threat?

With a weak and complacent Joe Biden in Beijing, the sovereignty of Taiwan could also be threatened like never before. Despite its efforts to exert military power to keep China’s intentions at bay, without the United States as a primary ally, Taiwan is at a worrying disadvantage.

In April, Breitbart reported that the People’s Liberation Army of China executed a series of airborne military drills in waters near Taiwan. Chinese state media such as the Global Times claims that these military exercises are “preparations for the military struggle against the island.”
