The military entity pointed out that these exercises are intended to deepen the pragmatic cooperation between the countries, improve the level of strategic collaboration between the participating parties and strengthen the ability to respond to various security threats.According to the Ministry of Defense, these are the “Vostok 2022” (Orient 2022) maneuvers to be held on Russian territory between August 30th and September 5th.

The exercises to be held at thirteen military sites, according to Russia, will be attended by soldiers from the People’s Liberation Army (PLA, Chinese army), India, Belarus, Tajikistan and Mongolia, among other countries, in addition to the Slavic country’s ground and air troops.
