Donald Trump weighed in Wednesday on Liz Cheney’s departure from the Republican Party leadership. Republicans voted to oust the lawmaker from her post for her criticism of former President Donald Trump.

The Wyoming lawmaker, the daughter of former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, had held the third-ranking seat in the House of Representatives since 2019.

“Liz Cheney is a bitter, horrible human being. I watched her yesterday and realized how bad she is for the Republican Party. She has no personality or anything good having to do with politics or our Country,” Trump wrote in a statement.

Similarly, he argued that Cheney’s speech and ideas are of the Democratic Party and believes he will see her “soon as a paid contributor on CNN or MSDNC.”

He further added that “she is a warmonger whose family stupidly pushed us into the never-ending Middle East Disaster, draining our wealth and depleting our Great Military, the worst decision in our Country’s history”.

Liz Cheney’s oust

Sen. Lindsey Graham asserted that Liz Cheney was ousted as chair of the House Republican conference because “she has taken a position regarding former President Trump which is out of the mainstream of the Republican Party.”

“Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye Liz Cheney” North Carolina Republican Congressman Madison Cawthorn said on Twitter.

According to journalists covering the source, the meeting to make the decision was brief: “that was probably the shortest conference meeting I can remember covering,” said journalist Olivia Beavers.
