American renowned conservative scholar and author Dinesh D’Souza asked his listeners on the latest episode of The Dinesh D’Souza Podcast to follow, read, and choose El American as their main news organization in order for them to learn about the ongoing chaos in the U.S. southern border.
One concerned listener asked D’Souza about Latin America, highlighting the lack of accurate and sufficient information about the region.
“One would think that many people in the U.S. — especially Latinos — would like to know the news about what is happening south of the U.S. border. Not just Mexico, but all of Central America and, of course, all of South America,” said the listener named Mike.
“One would think that a news show could easily put together one hour’s worth of news, which with commercials, would be approximately only forty minutes — in English — telling us what is going on south of the border,” he continued.
The listener later highlighted that there is no such space on television and that, if there were, this show would have a very good audience. Mike asked D’Souza why no one has thought about this idea and whether the American government wants the people to know and learn about the ongoing crisis at the southern border.
To which Dinesh D’Souza responded along with his wife Debbie D’Souza, “I happen to have a Latino authority on the subject right here in the studio,” he said.
Debbie D’Souza referred to El American as a bilingual publication that has “all the news from South America, Central America, Mexico–all of it.”
D’Souza commented that she is a columnist for El American. D’Souza’s work in El American primarily focuses on Venezuela and Mexico.
She added that El American wants to eventually become a televised medium in which “people will be able to know what people [in South America] are thinking, doing south of the [American] border.”
In addition, she commented that citizens of Latin American countries share the same concern about the U.S.’ border crisis, primarily because of the impact that the U.S has on Central and South American countries.
“It’s a great place,” said Debbie D’Souza, to which Dinesh added: “It has a different perspective from Telemundo; more conservative perspective about Latin America, check it out!”
