Young conservative Dania Vizzi, nicknamed “Shooterina,” an avid dancer who now does her best moves on skeet shooting ranges around the world, spoke with Anna Paulina Luna, chief correspondent for El American, during the Student Action Summit 2021, an event organized by Turning Point USA.
Vizzi, a national and world champion shooter, talked about her love of politics and noted that she has always been conservative, “because my parents voted that way. But when I started to get involved and see what was happening to friends who lived in California I couldn’t train because I couldn’t get ammunition, so I thought I have to get more involved and I have to try to make a difference,” she said.

This young conservative also spoke about the situation Cuba is going through and said that if the island had a Second Amendment like the United States, Cubans would not be living in the extreme conditions they live in as a result of the communist regime.
“They would not be going through this, they would have a way to defend themselves, but right now, they have nothing to fight against their government, they cannot rebel, they cannot show how they feel, so they are crushed by what is happening,” she pointed out.
Vizzi qualified among thousands of applicants for the Juilliard Dance Intensive, arguably the world’s most renowned dance school in New York City, but turned down the invitation to concentrate on her shooting career. She became interested in shooting sports after watching her father shoot.
“I was a competitive dancer. I started when I was three years old and I went to the Juilliard School for a summer, amazing, and when I went there, I didn’t compete much, but I found myself sitting in New York City and I thought, I have to make it. I have to make a change,” she said.
Dania Vizzi’s remarks to El American took place in the event organized every year by Turning Point USA, a non-profit organization founded in 2012 by Charlie Kirk.
