Puerto Rico Reports Five Deaths, 142 New COVID Cases

The Health Department announced Saturday that five people died and there are 142 new COVID-19 cases in Puerto Rico.

In a detailed report, the Health Department confirmed the deaths of a 70-year-old woman in the Metropolitan area, two women aged 63 and 37 in Bayamón, a 56-year-old woman in Caguas, and a 73-year-old man in Arecibo.

They also confirmed that in addition to the 142 new cases, there are 110 probable cases and 21 suspected cases.

According to the report, there are also 185 people hospitalized, of which 31 adults and one infant are in intensive care.

So far, Puerto Rico has 121,199 confirmed cases with a total of 2,471 deaths.
