Dear Democrats, We Are Not ‘Latinx’

latinx, El American

President Biden has someone very “woke” writing his speeches. There is no other explanation for the fact that this week he referred to Latinos with a word that I (Latina and migrant) have rarely heard. “Latinx” is nothing more than a term invented by white woke people who seem to want to teach us Latinos how we should speak. How racist!

“It’s awful hard, as well, to get Latinx vaccinated as well. Why? They’re worried that they’ll be vaccinated and deported,” the president said.

According to a Pew Research Center survey of Latinos, about one in four Hispanics in the U.S. has heard the term Latinx, but only 3% use the term. Seventy-six percent have never in their lives even heard the term used by the president.

The reason why most Latinos in the U.S. don’t even know what President Biden is talking about is that “Latinx” is an invention of first world millionaire progressivism, which pretends to educate society because it considers it stupid. It is not a term that Latinos use, there is no such word in Latin America.

Latinx is a gender-neutral label, according to those who now want to teach us to how to speak. The vowel “o” in the word “Latinos” bothers them a lot and they eliminate it because apparently it is sexist and does not include the LGBTIQ collective. Democrats, politicians, media, and journalists find all this so inclusive and correct that they fill their speeches and spaces with a label that Latinos don’t even know.

The “Latinx” thing is one more sign of the disconnection with reality and the arrogance of the progressive movements. Their ideas are never a reflection of what society thinks, neither is it a spontaneous thing, it is a powerful group that pushes their political agenda using media and all the money they have.

Anyone who knows just a little of the reality of Latin America understands that it is very conservative, where those attempts to deform the language to make it “inclusive” have not been well received and are seen as crazy and ridiculous that most people will never take seriously.

Regarding the fact that the Democratic party uses the term, it must be said that to win voters they are using exactly the same strategy of the radical left, divide the population to have new revolutionary subjects: the blacks, the Latinos, the LGBTIQ, the women, the poor. Then they convince those groups that they are oppressed and present themselves as the sole saviors; that’s why their propaganda claims that they are the party of blacks, Latinos, gays, women, and any other “minority.”

They are wrong about Latinos. The Latino vote does not belong to the Democratic Party and past elections have shown that more and more Latinos are voting Republican. If they pretend to tie the Latino vote with terms like “Latinx” and the latest woke inventions of Americans who pretend to educate us, they are completely wrong.

Not only do Latinos care first and foremost about the economy and not about these post-modern intellectuals fighting with macho vowels, but most Latinos are socially conservative and this obsession with seeking confrontation between groups and presenting heterosexuals as the enemy of gays does not please them. Latinos are entrepreneurs, hardworking, and they want to get ahead; those are their main concerns, not meaningless discussions about changing the language.

But the ‘Latinx’ thing is just another sign that many Democrats consider Latinos dumb and therefore want to educate us. In that speech, President Biden claims that Latinos don’t get vaccinated because they are afraid of being deported. There are millions of legal Latinos in this country and those who rise in the U.S. illegally are not ignorant. Anyone with common sense knows that getting vaccinated will not get an illegal deported. Biden almost said that Latinos don’t get vaccinated because their hats are too big and they can’t fit through the doors of a CVS….

Democrats need to be told to stop treating us like fools they even teach them what to call themselves. We are not Latinx, we are Latinos.
