Even Democrats reacted against the lies about Ron DeSantis’ response to the Miami building collapse. Several leftist politicians and journalists spread false claims about the Republican governor’s management.

According to the Daily Wire, FEMA’s National Incident Management System shows that local officials must make requests for assistance to state officials, who then contact federal officials for help.

DeSantis signed an executive order declaring an emergency in the state less than an hour after Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, a Democrat, signed a local order declaring a state of emergency.

The attempt to attack DeSantis began after Washington Post reporter Hannah Dreier spread false information about DeSantis’ response. “FEMA was ready to deploy to the condo collapse almost immediately, and included the crisis in its daily report, but did not get permission from Gov. DeSantis to get underway for a full day,” Dreier wrote on Twitter.

Dreier’s claim that DeSantis took a full day to respond is false.

The tweet received likes from progressive Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. This way millions of her followers saw the journalist’s message.

Even the Democratic mayor assured that she has had the support of the DeSantis administration. “The state of Florida has been here. We have not lacked any support,” said Daniella Levine Cava.

Finally, Jared Moskowitz, a Democratic politician who recently served as Florida’s Emergency Management director, criticized Dreier for his claims against DeSantis.
