Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ popularity continues to rise. In a hypothetical Republican primary, he would defeat both Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott.

A new poll by top Republican pollster Tony Fabrizio, indicates that DeSantis garnered 64% support compared to 12% for Rubio and 10% for Scott in a hypothetical primary.

Fabrizio’s survey of 304 Republicans had a margin of error of plus/minus 5.6 percentage points. The poll was done at the request of a private client and shared with Politico.

Florida always attracts national attention. This time, when it is an open secret that both the state’s governor and Florida’s two U.S. senators have their sights set on the White House.

The Fabrizio poll is not the only one to show this favorable trend for the governor. Fellow Republican pollster Ryan Tyson found that, among members of Florida’s conservative party, DeSantis was more popular than Donald Trump in the state. This is unusual considering that the former president won Florida last November by a larger margin than Barack Obama won Florida in 2008.
