Last Saturday I attended the victory dinner of the Republican Party of Florida at the Sunshine Summit, the location chosen for the event was the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, which was quite funny, because inside doors the conservative convention was being held, while in the vicinity of the hotel it looked like Spring Break weekend, and those attending the event (with suits, ties and dresses) had to share the amenities with young people in bathing suits, some, in a drunken condition, to get to the event hall.
Another occurrence of the event was some members of the liberal press outside the venue, protesting and complaining because they were not accredited to enter the convention. Beyond that, the event developed with the height and organization of an event of such magnitude, hundreds of people, among them, several with MAGA caps, and others, with different clothes with the word DeSantis inscribed on them, attended the place to listen to the Republican leaders and their plans to defeat the Democrats in the upcoming elections in December.
The host of the victory dinner was political commentator Dave Rubin, who explained to the attendees the reasons why he had left the Democratic Party, and subsequently California, to relocate to Florida and register with the Republican Party. He was followed by Senator Marco Rubio, who in an emotional speech appealed to “common sense” to defeat the Marxist hell that the progressive party is trying to implement in the state and the entire nation.
“The biggest division in America today is not partisanship, the biggest division is between the common sense priorities of Millions of working people (…) and those of a very small, powerful group of people”: @marcorubio.

Rubio managed to shed his usual seriousness and drew some laughs from the attendees with a rather energetic speech, full of facts, realities and mockery of the Democratic Party.
He was followed by Lieutenant Governor Jeannete Núñez, who assured that the Biden Administration will go down in history for its record inflation, gasoline prices and dismal economic management.

And finally, the Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, who was loudly applauded by the attendees upon his entrance to the stage, and after a long speech closed with a phrase that managed to move each one of the attendees in a particular way: “You got to be ready for battle. So put on the full armor of God. Take a stand against the left’s schemes. Stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist. You will face fire from flaming arrows, but the shield of faith will protect you.”
