Speedy Gonzales and Pepe Le Pew are the most recent targets of the cancel mob for, again, something stupid. Charles Blow from the New York Times wrote a hit-piece against the two cartoon characters (weird) where he argues that Pepe Le Pew promotes “rape culture” and Speedy Gonzales portrays Mexicans in a racist way.
He goes on and on talking about how the famous skunk normalized rape culture and how the mouse’s friends popularized the drunken stereotype of Mexicans.
The writer implies that the creators of Speedy Gonzales are racist bigots who want to insult or demean Hispanics. But really, there’s nothing there.
Has it ever crossed your mind that maybe cartoons are not propaganda tools of white supremacy? If it didn’t, you’re a white supremacist. Or that’s what the left believes.
And It doesn’t matter if your Hispanic: you disagree, you’re a white supremacist. Ah! Talk about inclusion…
They say they want to protect your ethnicity, that you should be proud of who you are, but somehow they don’t want you to laugh at yourself. Because that’s what cartoons do: recreate in funny shapes and colors real-life situations and their weird, sometimes hysterical aspects. They show you life in funny sizes and different perspectives.
Cartoons are not racist bigots, they’re funny. And it’s absurd to say the opposite.
Pepe Le Pew does not normalize rape in the same way French people are not rapists, and Speedy Gonzales is not a racist representation of Mexicans in the same way they’re not lazy drunks. In fact, the stereotype is the opposite!
And it’s not even a stereotype, Mexicans and Hispanics in general are one of the most hard-working people.
The reality is they don’t want you to have fun, because fun leads to creativity, and creativity leads to questioning. They don’t want you to question anything. “Obey!” they yell. “And don’t laugh!”… Hm, kinda feels like Matilda all over.
The Left does not want to protect you and make you equal, they want you unrecognizable, dehumanized and depressed, that way it’s easier to control you.
Cartoons exaggerate common behaviors and customs of people, and we love that! Because in difference, real pride grows! I know how Mexicans love Speedy Gonzales, a mouse that wears traditional Mexican clothes, and talks with their accent. That’s culture, history, both things that motivate Patriotism.
Ah! So there it is! So, the Left is against you loving your country. Or, as they call it: fascism.
We know what they’re doing with their one-way virtue-signalling. El American’s co-editor in chief Vanessa Vallejo wrote an article called “Pepe Le Pew, the skunk that wishes to be Andrew Cuomo”.
And that’s exactly what it is! The hypocrisy of these pansies only goes against us, but when it comes to their people, then it’s no see-no say. The Three Wise Monkeys of Cancelling suddenly take over their bodies.
Cuomo, a guy that’s responsible for thousands of deaths in the state of New York, is not being cancelled by the mob. All of the sudden, he’s just mean, but a killer? Never!
These people don’t care about you and your so-called “pride.” In fact, they hate that you may stand up for your culture and traditions. Ah! The nerve to care about the things that give you an identity and a home.
For them, if you care about your family, and stand up for your country’s history, that’s racism. If you’re having fun, that’s bigotry. If you don’t get distracted by their mob-like tactics and question the real problems, that’s fascism. Speedy Gonzales? Ah! The horror! A cartoon of a Mexican mouse that made all Hispanics laugh as they grew up. Cancel it!
Huh? Thousands of Hispanic criminals that rape, kill, steal and unleash hell upon American citizens? I’m sorry. No speak-o inglés. No understand!
Ha! The audacity.
Anywho… these nutjobs should be cancelled. And hard. If not, Speedy will not be the only one cancelled, but also Hispanics for speaking Spanish and daring to laugh at Speedy.
But my conclusion is: No nos importa que tengan un problema con Speedy Gonzales. Nos representa y nos divierte, a los latinos nos encanta reírnos y eso no nos lo van a quitar. And if you didn’t understand what I just said, you should probably go and watch some more Speedy Gonzales.
