Since last Wednesday, November 16, 2022, multiple accounts of prominent brands and public figures that had been suspended by the previous Twitter Board of Directors, began to be reinstated by the new Elon Musk’s new Twitter administration.
Musk announced the return to the platform of accounts such as those of Jordan Peterson, The Babylon Bee and Kathie Griffin, the latter an openly anti-Musk comedian who was suspended for the new Twitter’s impersonation policy. Griffin had changed her account’s name and profile pic without clarifying that it was a parody of Elon himself.
He finished the tweet by saying that the reinstatement of Donald Trump’s account was being analyzed. Hours later, he launched a public poll, asking the audience if the former president’s account should be restored, an unprecedented event not only on Twitter, but on any social media platform to date.
Musk’s poll has been by far the one with the highest participation on the platform, with more than 15 million votes and also, with a close 52-48 result in favor of Donald Trump, which speaks volumes about how polarizing the figure of the former president can be.
The self-evident political persecution of Donald Trump
Musk respected the results of the survey and the platform restored Donald Trump’s account on Saturday, November 19, 2022 in the afternoon, after almost two years of absence.
The most important thing about Trump’s return to Twitter are his last 6 or 7 tweets. They show that all the paraphernalia of the January 6 committee and the accusations against him for “inciting violence”, are nothing more than a fabricated hoax, that constitutes the political persecution of the former president and a wild attempt to disqualify him for the next election.
In addition, Trump indicated in a video, also posted on Twitter, that he would ensure the peaceful transition of power, as he had said on previous occasions.
We are not surprised by this persecution attempt by the DNC, which has characterized in recent years by acting more and more like any authoritarian apparatus, typical of underdeveloped countries and socialist dictatorships. However, it is still interesting that Donald Trump himself, with his own words, with texts and videos that he could NOT in any way modify since January 8, 2021, when he was suspended, proves not only his innocence but once again, the profound corruption of the party commanded by Biden, Harris, the Clintons and the Obamas.
Trump may not be the most popular candidate right now for the Republican party, but his role in saying what no one dares to say and taking the masks off the most corrupt members of the Democratic party remains essential.
