The Golden State Warriors have opened an investigation into a confrontation in which Draymond Green went so far as to punch teammate Jordan Poole during practice.
Shams Charania, one of the best-sourced journalists in the NBA, said Wednesday in a scoop that Green “punched” Poole after an argument that got heated.
After a verbal confrontation, the two players pushed each other, Green hit Poole and the two had to be separated afterward to keep the situation from escalating, according to Charania’s account, and a video that was published by TMZ.
Adrian Wojnarowski, another journalist with great access inside the league, later reported on ESPN and according to his own sources that Green punched Poole.
The reigning NBA champion Warriors are now investigating what happened to determine if any disciplinary action is necessary.
