El American’s Chief Correspondent Anna Paulina Luna appeared on Daily Wire’s new show Candace on Friday evening, where she formed part of a panel discussing the hot button issues of the day.

With the panel joined by a studio audience, the main topic of the evening was immigration, as the crisis at the U.S. southern border caused by continuous flows of illegal migrants continues to worsen.

“When I first realized that the Democrat Party was using Hispanics for political propaganda in this country, at first I was really shocked that the media would do that,” Anna explained.

“This crisis that we are seeing at the border currently wouldn’t be happening under the current administration because of their zero stance on illegal immigration,” she continued. “Secondly when you have prominent members of the Democrat Party and their presidential candidate campaigning on these promises of mass amnesty and an open border policy, of course, we are going to see this.”

“As someone who is a second-generation American with family from Mexico, I’m not saying this because I’m xenophobic or don’t want immigrants here. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. There are very real problems that have been caused by this crisis such as human trafficking, drug running, and threats to national security that the administration is not talking about simply because they want the Hispanic voting block in 2024.”

Turning Point USA’s Rob Smith and former Trump campaign staffer Amanda Milius were among those present on the panel, where topics around identity politics and the recent claims against Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz were also on the agenda.

Later on in the episode, they were joined by comedian Adam Carolla, who spoke on the challenges of being one of the few openly conservative figures in Hollywood.

The show was the fifth episode of Candace, a recently launched politics and pop culture discussion show hosted by the journalist and commentator Candace Owens and produced by Ben Shapiro’s media company Daily Wire.

Over the past few years, Owens has become one of the most prominent figures in conservative politics and has been credited with helping the Republican Party reach out to African-Americans and other minority demographics. Earlier this year, she even hinted at a possible run for the presidency in 2024. Watch this space!
