Elon Musk dropped a ‘Fauci bomb’ about gain-of-function research

Elon Musk continues to lash out at Dr. Fauci, the mainstream media and what he has called “legacy media” journalists on narratives such as the COVID-19 pandemic, free speech and big tech censorship of conservative voices.

Last Wednesday, December 28th 2022, Elon Musk fired a warning shot to the corporate media on Wednesday after an attack by Axios reporter Hope King on CNBC, who said that his “reputation is in danger.”

Musk responded: “The legacy media should worry about its reputation. We have only just begun.”

In addition, after a new round of “Twitter files” came out, Musk dropped a few comments on a Twitter thread about Dr. Anthony Fauci, exposing the previous Twitter board and the social platform as an extreme bias source of information on the issue of vaccinations and COVID-19 origins.

“Almost no one seems to realize that the head of bioethics at NIH – the person who is supposed to make sure that Fauci behaves ethically – is his wife,” The Twitter CEO stated.

“‘Gain-of-function’ in this context is just another way of saying ‘bioweapon’,” Musk added. “Some good nuggets in article. Important to note that Fauci authored 2012 paper arguing for gain-of-function research! Obama wisely put this on pause, but Fauci restarted it.”

“Despite these glaring issues, Twitter nonetheless had an internal Slack channel unironically called ‘Fauci Fan Club’,” Musk added.

Musk’s latest remarks came in response to Dr. Anthony Fauci’s dismissal to the Tesla founder’s comments in a recent interview, after he called for the doctor to be prosecuted for allegedly starting the pandemic through government-sanctioned experiments.
