Although the impeachment against former President Donald Trump failed, Democratic Representative Eric Swalwell, who is involved in a”sexpionage” scandal with a Chinese spy, sued the former president alleging that he “incited the deadly invasion of the U.S. Capitol” and demanded a jury trial in the U.S. District Court in Washington.

The representative who did not explain his relationship with the Asian woman member of the Chinese Communist Party now seeks to file a lawsuit against Trump, attorney Rudy Giuliani, and Rep. Mo Brooks. Swalwell accuses them of being “fully responsible for the injuries and destruction” caused on Capitol Hill.

The 65-page civil lawsuit charges the defendants with conspiring to block Biden’s election victory, inciting the Jan. 6 riots, aiding and abetting the assault on the Capitol, committing torts, and intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence.

The Democratic representative’s insistence continues despite the Senate’s acquittal of Trump of the Capitol insurrection.

Swalwell’s legal action is the second lawsuit against Trump by a sitting member of Congress. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-Missississippi) and the NAACP filed their own lawsuit against Trump and Giuliani last month, accusing them of conspiring to prevent Congress from confirming Biden’s victory.

Is Trump responsible?

In an in-depth analysis of the chronology of events, El American published an article that highlights how the attack on the Capitol happened, and also reveals who allowed the assault on Congress to take place.

The intelligence community failed; security was left to the Capitol Police (2,000 officers) who were unprepared for the sudden break-in.

The media outlet analyzes that, unlike last summer’s racial protests, there were almost no National Guards in DC, only about 300, despite the fact that Trump had previously suggested the presence of 10,000.

“Fingers are pointed at Trump, partly rightly so, for his incendiary speech within minutes of hundreds of protesters with MAGA placards storming Congress,” the analysis reads. “In the end, the debate was strained by the former president’s campaign crusade to prove voter fraud.”

“However, it cannot be omitted that the main reason for the assault on the Capitol was a tremendous failure of security forces,” it continues. “Nor can it be omitted that, as the president told Fox News and as reported by Vanity Fair from a direct source, Donald Trump proposed ten thousand troops to guard the Capitol.
