Almost three days after the FBI raid on Donald Trump’s residence, details about the operation are transcending, this time from a very close source. Eric Trump, third son of the former president, broke the silence and claimed that the agents refused to give the lawyer a copy of the search warrant.

The operation lasted 9 hours and the agents opened the safe deposit box and even searched Melania Trump’s closet. In all, it involved 30 officers from the Southern District of Florida and the FBI’s Washington field office.

Trump’s son spoke to the Daily Mail about the case and accused irregularities on the part of the authorities. “They told our lawyer, ‘you have to leave the property right now. Turn off all security cameras,’” Trump said.

In addition, Trump stated that “They would not give her [in reference to Christina Bobb, his lawyer] the search warrant, they showed it to her from about 10 feet away. They would not give her a copy of the search warrant.”

Bobb declared that “When I arrived and kind of announced myself as the legal representation for President Trump, I asked to see a copy of the warrant,” she recalled.

“Initially, they refused and said, ‘You know, we don’t have to show it to you.’ And there was a little bit of an exchange about whether it was appropriate to withhold the warrant when you’re searching the residence of the former president, who’s likely to be the Republican nominee in the next election, though they conceded and let me see it,” Bobb added.

Donald Trump’s disclaimer following the raid

The former president wrote a public letter addressing the events.

“After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate. It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024 … Such an assault could only take place in broken, third-world Countries,” Trump wrote.

“Sadly, America has now become one of those countries, corrupt at a level; not seen before. They even broke into my safe! What is the difference between this and Watergate, where operatives broke into the Democrat National Committee? Here, in reverse, Democrats broke into the home of the 45th President of the United States,” Trump concluded.
