The European Union (EU) has reportedly invested close to one million euros in promoting the LGBT agenda by funding drag shows and projects aimed at blurring traditional gender roles, including the establishment of gender ideology in the curricula of the continent’s public schools.

According to a report in The Telegraph, the EU spent some 892,000 euros of European taxpayers’ money to help fund projects that promised to address problems such as “toxic masculinity,” at a time when even progressive governments are warning of the danger posed by the woke agenda.

One of the projects that the EU proudly funded with just over 21,700 euros was titled “Drag It Up,” and among its objectives was to teach young men about makeup, wearing wigs, walking in heels and “exaggerating” “traditional” gender roles.

The project was funded through the EU’s Erasmus + program, dedicated to youth education and sports training.

“We want to empower young queer people to become artists and performers, to discover specifically queer art forms of (gender) expression such as drag and voguing and to use these creative means of expression to find ways of coping with heteronormativity and discrimination,” reads among the objectives on the EU’s official website.

The Telegraph report also highlights the German drag queen, Queen of Virginity, to whom the EU allocated the money to carry out part of the project.

In their social media there are videos and photographs showing the participants learning dance steps, taking acting classes and educating themselves on how to become “divas.”

The Erasmus + program also funded exchange schemes and granted some 434 thousand euros to “advise” the construction of LGBT schools around Europe.

The EU’s insistence on propagating the radical LGBT agenda has drawn backlash from within. German MEP Nicolaus Fest, quoted by the report, criticized the Union’s “fluttering” in the ideological “hell-bend.”

“By fluttering away taxpayers’ cash on lipstick lessons and lacy lingerie for men, the EU is displaying that it’s hell-bent on pursuing a woke agenda whatever the cost. This waste is another instalment in the EU’s ongoing culture war series, with this episode perhaps most appropriately labelled as the Battle of the Bulge. Such nonsense makes you want to check the date and hope it’s April Fools’ Day, but unfortunately this is the tragic reality.”

Perhaps that is why the European right is regaining prominence in the least expected countries. Recently, Sweden elected a conservative majority in a narrow parliamentary election in which the conservative Andreas Norlén emerged as the new Speaker of Parliament.

The same happened with Giorgia Meloni, the new Italian premier, who came to power after a sweeping right-wing victory and whose campaign focused on fighting the radical LGBT agenda, indoctrination of children, defense of the traditional family and distancing herself from the EU’s woke agenda.
