Exposing the J6 Committee: Trump Hate, Lies and Weaponization of Investigations

As expected, the January 6 hearing of July 12 was filled with lies, political soundbites, and hypocritical rhetoric from the left. Far from presenting damming information against Trump, it continues to make a mockery of our government, wasting your hard earned tax dollars.

Let’s start with the obvious. The July 12 hearing sought to dig into President Trump’s so-called ties to “extremist groups.” The Committee claims that the protestors were lured into D.C. (not the Capitol) by Trump himself. Yes, Trump held a rally on January 6, and some of those attendees marched to the capitol where the riot happened. Groundbreaking information.

Oath Keepers and the Proud Boys

Some of the organizations probed were the Proud Boys and QAnon, which depending on the day of the week, go from white nationalist organizations to groups of right-wing Latinos. Even the liberal New York Times tried to tie QAnon to Rep. Mayra Flores in a non-sensical hit piece.

The hearing featured the testimony of witnesses Jason Van Tatenhove (former Oath Keepers spokesman) and Stephen Ayres (a protestor who pleaded guilty in June to disorderly and disruptive conduct).

They rebuked being involved in the riots and believing that the election was stolen through massive fraud.  While it is unclear whether these individuals willfully testified, it is reported that Ayres’ sentencing hearing is scheduled for September 13. Why does this matter? Anyone familiar with criminal proceedings knows that the more a defendant participates with prosecutors, the lesser the sentence would be.

Rep. Cheney — a RINO and a disgrace to conservatism — claimed that former President Trump attempted to contact one of the witnesses who had not yet publicly testified before the Committee. Trump’s intent remains unknown. However, what is known is the level of unprecedented intimidation in which this Committee has handled itself.

Despite positioning itself as a quasi-prosecutorial effort, this Committee has violated some of the most basic rules of judicial processes. For instance, it simultaneously blocks cross-examination but allows ludicrous claims of hearsay. In the style of McCarthyism, the Committee uses past convictions and political soundbites to imply guilt.

Trump’s Ties to Violent Group: A Bunch of Non-Sense

The Committee claimed that this hearing would delve into Trump’s ties to these radical groups, exposing footage of Alex Jones and Matt Bracken calling on Trump voters to “take action” and mobilize by “occupying the entire area, if necessary storming right into the Capitol.” While these videos, alongside some of the things expressed by Mr. Jones, are troubling, they miss a crucial actor: Trump. Where is the footage of Trump calling on supporters to take over the Capitol? We won’t see it because such footage does not exist.

President Trump could release one hundred videos denouncing violence and extremist groups. The Democrats, along with its far-left operatives in the mainstream media, would work day and night to tie the former president to ludicrous claims still. Let’s not forget how the mainstream media asked Trump time and time again whether he denounced white supremacist groups, despite the fact the president had rebuked all extremist groups.

Beyond that, if tying rhetoric to violence is now a thing, then Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer are directly responsible for the attempted murder of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Where is the select committee for these Democrats?

J6 Committee Confirms That Trump Did Appease Violence

One of the most astonishing parts of this hearing came when Committee Member Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) asked witness Stephen Ayres if Trump’s tweet calling for protestors to leave the Capitol had any effect.

“What finally caused you to leave on January the 6th […] Did you see that, and did that have any effect on what you were doing?” asked Raskin about the Trump tweet that called on protestors to remain peaceful and go home.

The answer is what most Democrats and Twitter do not want the American people to hear.

Read the transcript:

“STEPHEN AYRES: Well, when we were there, as soon as that come out, everybody started talking about it and that’s — it seemed like it started to disperse. You know, some of the crowd, obviously, you know, once we got back to the hotel room, we seen that it was still going on. But it definitely dispersed a lot of the crowd.

JAMIE RASKIN: And did you leave at that point?

STEPHEN AYRES: Yeah, we did. Yeah, we left.

JAMIE RASKIN: So, in other words, that was the key moment when you decided to leave when President Trump told people to go home.

STEPHEN AYRES: Yeah, yeah, we left right when that come out.

This exchange — which was led by Raskin, the same member of Congress who objected to the certification of Florida’s electoral votes for then President-elect Donald Trump — is quite telling and reaffirms that Trump’s intent to appease protestors after the riots began. That video, posted on Twitter, was arbitrarily taken down by Big Tech.

Tearing Down Institutions Is A DNC Plot, Not Trump’s

Raskin then proceeded to say that the Framers would be frightened by an elected official who sought to “embrace violence” against U.S. institutions “in service of their insatiable ambitions.” Raskin is indeed correct. The Framers would rebuke the Democratic Party’s attempt at packing the Supreme Court, threatening the lives of Justices, abolishing the Senate’s filibuster, and federalizing our elections through HR 1 and other radical laws.

Far from being a legitimate investigatory body, the J6 committee continues to dig itself in a deeper hole, confirming that it is nothing more than Trump’s third impeachment.

Everyone can attest that what happened on January 6, 2021, was wrong, but that doesn’t excuse what the J6 Committee is doing. For these past weeks, we have witnessed the radicalization of our legislature, the prosecution of political dissent with lies, the leaking of information to the media, and the making a mockery of our government.

The J6 Committee is scheduled to make yet another comeback on July 21, 2022. We can surely expect more of the same.
