Facebook-owned services and applications—Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger—suffer widespread crashes in several parts of the world on Monday, as reported by users themselves through the website Downdetector.

Tens of thousands of Internet users in the United States, Mexico, France, Romania, Norway, Georgia, Greece and other countries went to the popular portal to report that they could not access the services.

In the specific case of the popular instant messaging application WhatsApp, when users send messages, they see the message “connecting” and a clock icon, but the content is not sent to the recipient.
