Facebook banned the “Jerusalem Prayer Team,” a pro-Israel Christian page with 77 million followers. The director and head of the “Friends of Zion Association” claimed that it was part of an anti-Semitic attack.

The attack took place in the midst of the conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Michael Evans Jr. had been leading thousands in daily prayer for Israel and about the current crisis in the Middle East, according to CBN.

“Facebook has been accused of being biased toward conservative media sources. This is a prime example of media bias. It is, in my opinion, cyber terrorism based on racism. I reached out to senatorial friends like Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz, my dear friend, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Jared Kushner, and dozens of other political leaders to help me with this fraudulent scheme to damage our good work,” Evans told the media outlet.

The pro-Israel Christian page will not return

The organization asked Facebook to restore its page. The platform responded and informed that the case was “completed” and that they were unable to perform the review due to the pandemic and an alleged “staff reduction.”

“These pages were removed by our system due to non-compliance with policies. Unfortunately, we are unable to review appeals at this time due to the shortage of reviewers caused by the coronavirus outbreak. Since you are unable to access the page, this means that appealing is no longer an option. We are unable to take any further action for these pages. Please consider this decision final,” Mark Zuckerberg’s platform reported.
