Two DC underage girls, 13 and 15 years old, were charged with robbery and homicide of Mohammad Anwar, a 66-year-old Uber Eats driver who was thrown from the vehicle during the robbery and fatally injured. The incident occurred in March

, while the man was working for a food delivery company in Washington. This Monday, the young women’s lawyers would have on their table a plea agreement offered by the prosecutor in the case, Bonnie Lindemann.

The minors were reportedly in possession of an electronic taser during the incident and were charged with felony murder, carjacking, armed robbery and other crimes.

According to The Washington Post, the prosecutor handling the case has not given instructions for her office to transfer the case of the 15-year-old teenager to an adult court, while the 13-year-old cannot be prosecuted as an adult because of her age, as established by Washington law.

The Post detailed that last week videos were presented showing the minors at the scene and witnesses claim that while the man was trying not to fall and get back into his car, the girls accelerated the vehicle.

The victim’s family claims that Mohammad Anwar emigrated to the United States in 2014 from Pakistan in search of a better future. Authorities warned that the case comes amid an increase in car thefts in the district.

The parties will return to court on April 20 to decide the course the case will take.
