The members of the rock band Foo Fighters will star in a horror movie that will hit theaters on February 25, 2022 under the title “Studio 666.”

The film will narrate the moment when the band’s vocalist, Dave Grohl, and the rest of Foo Fighters members (Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee) gather in a California studio to record their tenth album, although a series of unforeseen events will ruin their plans.

Once in the house, Dave Grohl finds himself grappling with supernatural forces that threaten both the completion of the album and the lives of the band,” stated the synopsis of the film directed by BJ McDonnell.

The project, unveiled Monday in a Deadline scoop, was hatched under the utmost secrecy and after “decades of ridiculous music videos,” Grohl explained.

“It was finally time to take it to the next level … A full length feature horror comedy film (…) Be ready to laugh, scream, and headbang in your popcorn,” the musician explained.

His latest studio album is “Medicine at Midnight” (2020), the tenth in a discography that has sold more than 27 million copies.
