ON FRIDAY, it was revealed that the Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado is promoting a scholarship program for gender minorities and details that heterosexual men are excluded.

The briefing paper on the program details that, “If you are a cisgender male, this program is not for you.” It further adds that, “If you are a cisgender woman, transgender woman, non-binary, agender, bigender, two-spirit, demigender, gender fluid, gender queer or other form of gender minority, this program is for you.”

Rejection by members of the Air Force

Fox News had access to an email that Air Force members received and detailed that this is a paid internship. “The USAFA email said the Brooke Owens scholarship is a nine-week paid internship at a leading aerospace company and that any student who is a female or gender minority can apply,” Fox News explained.

One cadet spoke with the media outlet and expressed concern about the situation. “It’s a little concerning that we have more reports on diversity and inclusion than we do reports on foreign adversaries, emerging technologies or current events around the world,” the cadet said.
