The sexual harassment allegations against Democratic New York Governor Andrew Cuomo have not been addressed by the National Governors Association (NGA), of which he is president.

The governor is in the midst of two major scandals: the concealment of death figures by COVID-19 in nursing homes; and allegations of sexual harassment by two former members of his administration. However, the NGA has declined to address both scandals.

NGA press secretary James Nash declined to offer a statement to Fox News.

In recent days Cuomo was accused by Lindsey Boylan, his former assistant, of orchestrating a “pervasive” culture of “sexual harassment and intimidation.” This allegation was joined by Charlotte Bennett, who was an executive assistant and health policy advisor until November, who claimed that the official asked her questions “about her private life.”

The governor denied all the allegation but claims he was “misunderstood.”

The allegations of sexual harassment will be investigated by New York Attorney General Letitia James, a fellow Democrat. The governor is also being investigated by the FBI and federal prosecutors over the handling of nursing homes amid the coronavirus pandemic in the state.
