“The Federal Election Commission fined the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign for lying about funding the Russian dossier, used in an attempt to smear Donald Trump weeks before he shocked the world with his 2016 presidential victory.” This was reported exclusively by the Washington Examiner.

The media detailed that, according to the electoral agency, Clinton and the Democratic National Committee (DNC), “violated strict rules about the description of expenditures for payments channeled to the opposition research firm Fusion GPS through its law firm.”

“The DNC treasurers and the Clinton campaign paid a total of $1,024,407.97 to the Perkins Coie law firm for Fusion GPS’s information. The party and campaign concealed the reason, claiming it was for legal services, not opposition research,” the Washington Examiner reported.

According to the newspaper, neither the party nor Clinton’s team denied the facts. However, they will not contest the finding allegedly to “resolve this matter expeditiously and to avoid further legal costs.”

Trump announced a lawsuit against Hillary Clinton

Just this Thursday it became known that former President Donald Trump would file a lawsuit against Clinton for conspiring to create a false narrative during the 2016 election campaign in order to make the electorate believe that he had ties to Russia.

“The plot was conceived, coordinated and carried out by high-level officials in the Clinton campaign and the DNC,” reads the court filing, published by the EFE news agency.
