Hunter Biden acknowledged Friday that the laptop mentioned in a New York Post report implicating him in corruption cases with Ukraine may belong to him. During an interview on CBS, President Joe Biden’s son was asked if the MacBook Pro computer left at a computer repair shop in Delaware in 2019 was his. While he first said he didn’t know, he later responded that he might be the owner.

“Certainly, there could be a laptop that was stolen from me. It could be that I was hacked. It could have been done by Russian intelligence,” Hunter Biden said.

During the presidential campaign, the Democratic president’s family was embroiled in scandal after a New York Post piece was published. The newspaper report revealed Hunter Biden’s relationship with Ukrainian businessmen. It also warned about the consequences of possible conflicts of interest.

“The emails revealed that the younger Biden introduced a top Burisma executive to his father, then vice president, less than a year before the elder Biden pressured Ukrainian officials to fire a prosecutor who was investigating the company,” the Post said.

Facebook and Twitter censored the Post article, which was published last year in the run-up to the presidential election, claiming that the information provided in the story was dubious. However, in his recent interview with CBS, Biden’s son confirms the information provided by the New York outlet.

During the interview with CBS, Hunter Biden also talked about his family and the book he published, in which he recounts his struggle with drugs and alcohol, and the importance of family in dealing with this situation.
