El idiota de la semana: Jen Psaki

This time, El American’s Idiot of the Week award goes to Jen Psaki, White House Press Secretary. Without blinking or blushing she has made a close defense of censorship for the greater glory of the government, her government, that is.

“So we are regularly making sure social media platforms are aware of the latest narratives dangerous to public health that we and many other Americans are seeing across all of social and traditional media. And we work to engage with them to better understand the enforcement of social media platform policies.”

This succession of euphemisms, translated from politiqués, mean that to Jen Paski it seems normal that the White House is making sure that social media censors what the government considers dangerous misinformation for public health, and that the public must understand that censorship is a good thing.

We do not yet know what measures they propose for those who disagree with government censorship. Perhaps they claim that valuing free speech is a symptom of the mental illness of domestic terrorists and white supremacists. All for the sake of public health.

From considering them “dangerous to the public health” to too dangerous to the health of the government is a small step. Seeing the Democrats’ impertinence in this regard, we are sure that they are willing to take this small step. Or rather, that they have already taken it and are jumping for joy, splashing with both feet over the puddle of totalitarianism.

In his rambling justification speech, and partly in imitation of his commander-in-chief’s style, Psaki mumbled that “As you all know, information travels quite quickly. If it’s up there for days and days and days when people see it, you know, there’s — it’s hard to put that back in a box. And, of course, promoting quality information algorithms. I don’t know how they work, but they all do know how they work.”

What we understand that Jen Psaki meant is something like that the technical issues and writing the lines of code will be taken care of by the Facebook nerds, because the White House will only dictate the general instructions on what information is to be given and what is not to be given.

“We don’t take anything down. We don’t block anything, Facebook, and any private sector company makes decisions about what information should be on their platform. Our point is that there is information that is leading to people not taking the vaccine,” said Jen Psaki.

Ah well, we’re relieved. Her argument is reminiscent of Charles Manson’s defense that, at the end of the day, he didn’t kill anyone, it was the fervent followers of his cult. Jen Psaki’s argument is unquestionable and unwavering.

Jen Psaki openly justifies imposing social ostracism.

And not just Facebook, mind you, Psaki has said without mincing her words that she believes that if a user is blocked on Facebook for misinformation, they should be blocked on all other social media. We suppose that putting a Hannibal Lecter-like muzzle on them could be an option.

After all, according to the White House, there are only 12 people behind most of what they consider to be fake news. Wow, the White House happily acknowledging that it manages something like a blacklist of citizens disaffected with the regime. Tying them up and gagging them to be sent to a re-education camp does not seem far off, according to Psaki’s statement.

A few months ago, Facebook and the rest of Big Tech relentlessly censored all information related to the idea that the Wuhan virus came from an escape from the viral research lab in, you know, the city of Wuhan. This unsuspected association of ideas was considered a wild conspiracy theory and, of course, was conveniently and relentlessly censored. Now that it is no longer considered electorally dangerous for Biden, it is no longer conspiracy, but plausible. Magic.

Jen Psaki, who seems to be more of a wordsmith than a press secretary, is playing us for idiots if she thinks she’s going to convince us that what the government and Big Tech are doing is not outright censorship. As long as we don’t prove ourselves idiots by believing her, Jen Psaki will remain El American’s Idiot of the Week.

  1. US CITIZEN - US VICTIM OF JEN PSAKI AND ENTIRE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION

Thank you for a splendidly accurate account of Psucky’s ignorant stupidity.
In my opinion, Jen Psaki is a narcissistic sociopath with demonic qualities.
    dead eyed, death stare, wolf-snarl.
I predict that Jen Psaki will be as a used-up political reject and haggish divorcee in less than 3 years.
    I can only HOPE.

  2. I think, sometimes, things and people are way overestimated and the analysis goes too far without a reason. Jen Psaki’s case is simple and plain – she’s utterly stupid!
