After seven months as President of the United States, Joe Biden is facing impeachment against him due to the worsening of the immigration crisis and the lack of measures to solve it.

Senators, representatives and lawyers of the Republican Party favored impeachment proceedings against the president after it became known that the administration is releasing thousands of migrants with coronavirus.

Jenna Ellis, senior legal adviser to former President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign said Saturday that President Joe Biden should be held accountable.

Ellis said Biden is engaging in unconstitutional behavior and violating his oath of office with his handling of the southern border situation, and encouraged Republicans to start talking openly about impeachment.

Meanwhile, Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin tweeted the latest data from the Texas city of McAllen, which found that more than 7,000 migrants who tested positive for Covid were able to enter the city since February.

Similarly, Fox News host Mark Levin suggested that Republicans should consider impeaching Biden over the flow of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border. In addition, Levin stated that the Biden Administration “has the border wide open in violation of our immigration laws.”

Likewise, Ohio Rep. Bob Gibbs on Friday called on his Republican colleagues in the House of Representatives to consider filing articles of impeachment against President Biden for the “unconstitutional” order to extend the eviction moratorium and for his “dereliction” of duty to secure the southern border.

“The President is derelict in his duty, having repeatedly said he lacks the authority to extend the CDC’s eviction moratorium, then extending it anyway,” Gibbs said in a statement.

“His actions on the border represent a negligence in keeping America secure. We need to cut this off at the pass now, and show we will not stand for clearly unconstitutional actions,” he said.

Impeachment called for border crisis out of control

Border apprehensions remain at the highest level in decades, reaching one million before the end of the fiscal year. In addition, the number of unaccompanied children in U.S. Customs and Border Protection has skyrocketed.

In June, U.S. Customs and Border Protection recorded 188,829 apprehensions. A figure that represents the highest monthly total in a decade, which is a 571 % increase over the same month in 2020.

In just four months, the Biden-Harris administration released approximately 50,000 migrants who crossed the border illegally into the United States, and only 13 % went to the Immigration Office to proceed with their cases legally.

“It is unprecedented for agents to release migrants without an official notice to appear in court,” revealed an Axios report that reflects how serious the immigration crisis is at the southern border.

The Democratic administration would be leaving it up to the illegal migrants to decide whether or not to go to the offices to regularize their cases. A situation that highlights the vulnerability of the U.S. immigration system.

According to the media, the authorities are hoping that the released illegal migrants will decide to go to these offices to obtain work permits.
