Is the United States Following Latin America?

Americans should look at the many errors Latin American left-wing politicians have committed to the detriment of their nations

Like most students in America’s higher learning institutions, I am bombarded by left wing ideology. I am aware of the many ‘woke’ student body, diversity delusional administrators, and propaganda taught to my classmates and friends.  Ever since the 1960s, many young students questioned the status quo of their time by rioting, questioning their parents, church leaders, etc. Today, those same 1960s students became our political leaders, academia professors, and media presenters. 

The United States has always been characterized as the land of opportunities. Its Declaration of Independence based upon natural rights states, “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Note that the message Jefferson wanted to leave as legacy to the American people was to be free from government coercion and that all individuals will live happy in a virtuous society.

Today, however, Americans are witnessing a different kind of society. The United States House of Representatives is witnessing for the first time in its history, a debate we Latin Americans are seen in our nations, gender identity policies. H.R.5 – Equality Act, states, “This bill prohibits discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity in areas including public accommodations and facilities, education, federal funding, employment, housing, credit, and the jury system. Specifically, the bill defines and includes sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity among the prohibited categories of discrimination or segregation.” And, “The bill allows the Department of Justice to intervene in equal protection actions in federal court on account of sexual orientation or gender identity.

The bill prohibits an individual from being denied access to a shared facility, including a restroom, a locker room, and a dressing room, that is in accordance with the individual’s gender identity.” Now, think about it for a second. If you were to send your children to a bathroom and they come back running at you saying they saw a man in the girls/woman’s bathroom you will think that was weird and that the man is crazy. Not anymore, this bill protects anyone from their “gender” and as Latin Americans, we now know what that means. Yes, gender no longer means your biological sex. Therefore, nobody can discriminate a person who identifies as a he or a she, or as more politically extremists say “they.” 

Now, the title of this article is “Is the United States Following Latin America?” because Latin American countries have adopted the gender policies. For example, Argentina is one of the most progressive nations in the region that has adopted extreme radical left-wing ideologies. Agustín Laje, the most influential Latin American political writer of our times has discussed these phenomena in his articles. In an article written in Listín Diario, Laje explains what gender ideology is, “Gender ideology are anti-scientific ideas that, with authoritarian political ends, uproot human sexuality from its nature and tend to explain it exclusively from culture. Thus, our sexual reality, as men or women, would be a mere social construction, nullifying our natural determinations. Therefore, if we are mere “constructions” of society, we can be “deconstructed” in order to voluntarily be, both individually and collectively, what we want to be.” 

Americans should look at the many errors Latin American left-wing politicians have committed to the detriment of their nations. The Equality Act will be destructive in the United States and it will affect religious institutions, hospitals, universities, private businesses, people of faith, and more importantly, liberty minded people.

  1. Where are your sources for this article? You name Latin America as adopting gendered politics but only name Argentina. This just seems like an attempt to voice your opinion without any actual evidence.
